When Mo was 17 years old, his father was incarcerated, forcing a new but conflict-ridden outlook on life. Pushing through the obstacles, Mo found music to be his truest form of self-expression. His ability to relate his emotions into song began far before his need for it. At the age of 12, he had already begun learning the guitar and using songwriting as a therapeutic outlet.
After leaving Orthodox Judaism and navigating an uncertain reality, Mo’s talents led him to the musical prodigy, Benzo Lombardo, and Eugene Sky Compton, a talented visual artist, and creative director. Over a two-year period, the three cultivated Mo’s sound and image, bringing a rebellious new perspective to the music industry. “Over that time we worked a lot, but having the support of those two kept me grounded and focused on my goals,” the young artist said reflecting on the formative period. “I had music and friends. That was all I needed.” Mo’s songs focus on his struggles within himself and his relationship with love, loss, and loneliness. Soon to be releasing his debut single “High,” Mo’s journey is just beginning and he’s excited to bring you along for the ride. @mightbemoses

Exploding from (the suburbs of) Detroit rock city in 2001, and venturing to the absolute bottom of the rabbit hole by 2015, Downtown Brown (DTB) has carved a unique saga over their 14-year existence. Jamming a mutant style that splices together punk, funk, metal, rock, and hip-hop, DTB is a band impossible to categorize. People tend to either love them, hate them, or are just generally puzzled by their often politically incorrect, outrageous, satiric lyrics coupled with genre-hopping technical skill.
After nearly a decade of independently releasing media (4 full-length albums, a live album, and multiple dvds) and touring (100+ shows a year), Downtown Brown amassed a loyal following due to their infectious, energetic and ridiculously entertaining live show.
They signed with DC-Jam Records in 2010 to release their 5th studio album ‘Grabbleton’s Beach’, a concept piece that had critics scratching their heads due to its musical A.D.D. and lyrics ranging from childish absurdity to tongue-in-cheek satire. All confusion aside, the album helped propel DTB’s popularity to new heights and remains a fan favorite to this day.
In 2011, DTB caught the attention of Fishbone founding member Norwood Fisher, who soon after signed on to manage the band. Since Fisher’s involvement, the band has secured numerous endorsements, played multiple festivals, and toured with bands like The Adicts, Dead Kennedys, Peelander-Z, Fishbone, Psychostick, Andrew W.K., and even Insane Clown Posse (with whom they recorded a hilarious duet with in 2012).
DTB recorded and released their 6th full-length album ‘Masterz of the Universe’ in 2013. Produced by Fisher, ‘Masterz’ is the band’s first attempt at a ‘serious’ rock record. Although some of the material echoes DTB’s previous recorded lunacy, most of the album is comprised of tightly focused compositions written from a sincere state of being. The lyrics chronicle band leader Neil P.'s internal battles; dishing with brutal honesty about depression, love, chemical dependency, the state of the world, and staying true to the band's artistic vision against all odds. In true DTB fashion, the music remains incredibly diverse, provocative, fun, and possesses undeniable pop sensibility.
2015 finds Downtown Brown thriving in a world full of easy-to-define, cookie-cutter music. Combining metal grooves, spastic funk, catchy riff rock, and all-over-the-place vocals, DTB’s broadly enjoyable sound and incomparable live show has captured the attention of a global audience. In the Summer of 2015, the band will release their 2nd live album and will continue to tour relentlessly, spreading their warped gospel to unsuspecting music fans across the land.

From producer, Diwon (Bonhom, Dreams in Static, Tyrone Gosling, etc) comes a musical project known as ‘h2the‘, which merges 80s synths with the walls of sound that make up the drum layering that have become Diwon’s signature. This is Synths + Beats for the Birds. h2the make their live debut on the Hunnypot stage.
Sabotage used to be a legitimate workforce negotiation tactic. Hunnypot Live! unleashes this tactic every other week, so listen up y'all. Hot Tub Johnnie started by unionizing us with a music set of workforce rhythm and melody. Our industry guest Michael Levine laid out the hard truths of upper management and the workers in music. Cassie Holt and the Lost Souls punched our clocks with sweet rock n roll music, Grand Canyon provided an Americana vacation out west, Cloudtalk gave us a breakroom of clear sky pop music and Kosha Dillz makes his performances feel like a national holiday. 9-5-16

Michael Levine has been widely regarded as one of the world's premier branding and media expert for the last thirty years. He has represented a record breaking 58 Academy Award winners, 34 Grammy Award winners, and 43 New York Times best-sellers, authored 19 books (including 5 best sellers such as "Broken Windows, Broken Business" and "Guerrilla P.R."), and appeared on countless TV shows as a media expert including regular slots on "Good Morning, America" and "The Today Show" for the last 20 years. His work has also included media council to former presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Born with dyslexia, Levine is also the only person without a college degree to lecture at both Harvard and Oxford University. According to his success as a publicist, Michael Levine has also become a sought after public speaker. And through his career at Levine Communications Office (LCO) he represented many celebrity clients including David Bowie, Sandra Bullock, Michael J. Fox, Demi Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Prince and Barbra Streisand among many others. Levine even represented the King of Pop Michael Jackson in 93 & 94'!
Cassie Holt and The Lost Souls originally formed in 2013.
Front woman Cassie Holt is a Dallas native who has been singing/songwriting for more than a decade. She started playing open mics in high school, spent many years writing and singing hooks for local hip hop artists, and most recently grew her sound with an amazingly talented group of musicians. Together they create an atmosphere that is unmatched. The chemistry on stage between them is evident and it overflows to the audience. Holt’s sultry vocals fill the room and warm your insides. Her powerful belts grab your attention as the bands incredibly tight performance keeps it. Each member comes from a different style background, adding variety and uniqueness to their sound. Holt’s lyrics have a mature rawness to them that so much modern music lacks, touching on everything from domestic violence to heartbreak. The groups almost comical banter is sometimes turned into impromptu songs on stage. The group has grown together over the last year and hopes to soon reach every household here, and ultimately over seas. Cassie Holt and the Lost Souls have had performances on live television and they have performed at an array of venues including the Dallas Museum of Art, Fair Park in Dallas, the Dallas Arts District's Annual Fall Block Party, and the Dallas Whiskey Festival...and they continue to entertain regularly at a number of various clubs, festivals, weddings, and events.
Grand Canyon is a rock n roll band out of Los Angeles, CA including Casey Shea (vocals and guitar), Jillette Johnson (vocals and keys), Joe Guese (guitar), Adam Popick (bass), Tom Polce (drums), and Matt Pynn (guitar and pedal steel). Formerly all east coasters, the band members migrated to Los Angeles, and created Grand Canyon on the east side of town in 2015.
WHO - CloudTalk is a four member alternative pop-rock band from Northern Los Angeles, who have begun to get some notice on the local scene (105,000+ followers on Vine and counting). With guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocal harmonies, TJ, Gabe, and Jordan are ready to bring their unique chemistry to any size venue.
SOUND - By combining a knack for catchy melodies (think Maroon 5 or One Republic), chasing a big sound quality (think Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, fun.) and infusing a little rock edge (a la Killers, Temper Trap, Neon Trees), you’ll get some idea of the recipe for success that CloudTalk is ready to take to the masses. They also draw inspiration from other artists, and it’s easy to imagine them touring with bands as diverse as Young The Giant, Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club, Foster The People, New Politics, the Naked and Famous, Walk the Moon, the 1975, Passion Pit and The Neighborhood.
WHAT’S NEXT - Despite wearing their various influences on their sleeve, CloudTalk has a sound that is all its own, thanks in part to TJ’s distinct lead vocals and a gift for crafting hooks that stay with you after the final note lingers. With two full album’s worth of material they can play gigs of various lengths and are ready to explode onto the music scene in a big way.

Noel “Detail” Fisher has been behind the scenes crafting the biggest hits for Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Jennifer Lopez and more.
Producing for those household names got him his first big hit with 2011?s “How To Love,” which established Detail as an artist who can do more than just create a hot beat. His songwriting and hookcraft abilities have helped him emerge as one of the biggest and most well-rounded talents in hip-hop today.
Detail was first known for being a co-executive on Ray J’s Raydiation, which was his first major contributions on an album. However, times have changed for the Detroit, MI native, who is currently working in the studio with the likes of Jay-Z, Drake and Beyonce?.
“When you’re in Detroit there’s nothin’ to do. There’s no opportunity” Detail explains.
“All of the record labels left, and it’s just been a desert. All I could do was ,sing, play the piano and write. I came up from that era of just tapping into all genres of music. It’s not different than having a house and pulling in the person that does the air conditioner and the person that does the plumbing;’ that’s what I’m doing with my music. It’s a household and I’m connecting with the best people to make that happen.”
With production in the works for Jay-Z, Enrique Iglesias and more, Detail is slated to not only be one of the most talked about names in music, but will be defining the sound of our modern generation.

Diwon is a global artist. He’s known to Los Angeles audiences for his mix of Middle Eastern samples and Baltimore club beats. He is renowned worldwide for his remixes of pop acts like Lana Del Rey and The XX. On the inside, Diwon has the heart of a true-school hip-hop head. A prolific producer, Diwon releases a clutch of albums every year under his production name, Diwon as well as his bands, Bonhom and Dreams in Static. Diwon has been highlighted on MTV for his blend of hip hop and dancehall. Most recently MTVu featured his single “The Takeover” starring Andy Milonakis, which TV Guide recently highlighted as “What’s Hot.” 2DOPEBOYZ & Vibe Magazine's allhiphop.com have also presented Diwon for his rap flips of 80?s inspired sonics. The DJ Booth dubbed him a 'buzzmaking beatsmith', URB said “Diwon is something else…in a profound kind of way”, calling his sound titillating and ‘juicy for the ears’, while The Village Voice described his producing as ‘adventurous and banging’. Diwon has been featured in countless publications and TV programs including the New York Times, CBS, and BBC World News. His slamming live sets include a diverse mix of singers and live musicians, creating an unrivaled festival vibe with an explosive blend of world music, hip hop, and electronic sounds. Like Kanye or Godard, his work takes you through the emotional space of the artist.
With an exclusive debut on The Examiner, Bonhom's "Be My Marilyn" teases the lucid combination of dreamy sounds waiting to be discovered on their upcoming debut LP, Sex War. At first, the song seems pleasant and easy to digest, but as the arrangement takes its form so does Bonhom's subtle complexity. Combined with Nick Early's technologically savvy stop-motion visuals, "Be My Marilyn" becomes liquid journey that seems to defy space and time while incredulously never straying from the mark.
The lyrics tell a love story we all have seen, heard, and felt a thousand times and more, yet somehow this heartfelt declaration of desire feels brand new. There are moments when the deep tempo nonchalantly drags towards nirvana only to be complemented by the equally blissful sound of hooves pattering against a cobblestone street, all while electronic and acoustic instrumentation mingle with unexpected natural attraction, but it is so much more than a carefully crafted cacophony. It is morosely hopeful, anxiously bold, imaginatively real - a near inconceivable combination of polar opposites that refuses to be anything other than a Dream Pop masterpiece.
Bonhom is a new pop project co-created by two musical masterminds: singer/songwriter James Coleman and DJ, producer, and songwriter Diwon. Based in Los Angeles, Diwon and Coleman produce epic dreamlike pop for television, film, and advertising.
With over fifteen years in the music business, most notably with Maverick Records and Warner Brothers, James Coleman has toured and performed internationally and has licensed songs for commercials, compilations, and various film projects. During his stint at Warner Brothers, Coleman co-wrote with artists such as Aaron Kamin (The Calling), Jess Cates (Nick Lachey & the Backstreet Boys), and Stacy Jones (American Hi-Fi). For Coleman, music is a path to self-actualization even as it enables him to empathize with all types of people.
With over a decade of experience producing and performing, Diwon skillfully blends psychadelia with modern electro hip-hop, dancehall, and pop. Dubbed a “buzzmaking beatsmith” by The DJ Booth, URB noted that “Diwon is something else…in a profound kind of way,” calling his sound titillating and “juicy for the ears.” The Village Voice described his productions as “adventurous and banging.” Diwon has remixed a diverse array of artists from Dizzee Rascal and Miike Snow to Snoop Dog and Stevie Wonder. MTV has spotlighted his music, and most recently MTVu featured his single “The Takeover” starring Andy Milonakis, which TV Guide recently highlighted as “What’s Hot.”
With a fantastic fusion of their musical talents, Coleman and Diwon produce the songs that dreams are made of. Get ready to dream big when their music hits your ears.

Ms. Singer compiled an eclectic set of tunes from artists she's worked with over her career including Jesca Hoop, Kongos, Jukebox The Ghost, Tom Waits, Ben Folds, The Brevet and more.

The performance was highlighted by their singles "Metropolis" and "Kaleidoscope" which is currently being played on KROQ and will be accompannied by a new music video which will be released very soon. Oona is definitely on our list of One's To Watch for 2013.
Our next performance was none other than Actor/Director/Musician, Jeremy Sisto. You all may know Jeremy from his acting roles in shows like Six Feet Under, Law & Order, Suburgatory and the classic 90s film Clueless. Jeremy joined the Hot Tub for a special stripped down acoustic performace of new songs under his new music project, Escape Tailor. Jeremy performed a well crafted mix of downbeat country folk, R&B, blues ballads, reminiscent of Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart.
LA based female alt, pop, rock trio, Diamonds Under Fire were next to hit the Mint stage. Lead by singer-songwriter, Vanessa Silberman the trio performed a power house set of raw rock n' roll pop jams that hit with big catchy chorus' and brooding drum kicks.
LA based DJ/Producer and Songwriter, Erez Safir (aka Diwon) closed out the show with a blistering DJ set of electro hip hop, pop and dancehall bangers. However, the standout jams came off his new mixtape, Trap House which he officially premiered on the show. Be sure to check out Diwon's exceptional, dream-pop music project Bonhom, who will be performing around LA this summer.
Huge thanks to everyone that came out to support, perform, and both the The Mint and Hunnypot crews. We couldn’t make it all happen without each and every one of you! 07/01/2013

OONA is the musical brainchild of Dave Tweedie and Oona Garthwaite. Born in 2006 of an impromptu and sparse jam session (Dave on drums, Oona singing), Dave produced a few of Oona’s songs, and when they parted ways, Oona recruited some musicians from Craigslist to bring these tunes to the San Francisco club scene. A few months later, Dave had a dream, in which he heard Oona playing at an art gallery. He called her up, and invited her to work on some more tracks. Lo and behold, he joined the band as drummer and musical director. They have since gone on to sell out SF establishments like Bottom of the Hill, Red Devil Lounge, Cafe du Nord, and The Independent, as well as sell over 27,000 single downloads on iTunes. In the world of pop music, where lip-syncing and backing tracks are all but ubiquitous, OONA is the authentic article: great musicianship, a truly unique voice and a raw, vibrant stage presence, delivering well-crafted songs and smart lyrics with passion and intent every time. Don’t sleep on it.
Jeremy Sisto is joining the ranks of actors who sing. Perhaps best known amongst Clueless fans for his big-screen take on Coolio's "Rolling With My Homies" -- you know the pivotal scene -- Sisto, an actor of numerous film and TV credits including the ABC sitcom Suburgatory, Law & Order and Six Feet Under, is using his deep, mellifluous voice on a high-concept debut album entitled Escape Tailor. The songs, many of which written and recorded in his home studio, are largely contemplative and downbeat, reminiscent of Jeff Bridges' down-and-out balladry in Crazy Heart, fueled by Sisto's expressive baritone, which frequently rises to a tenor howl. Its themes – alienation and attachment, hardship and faith, transgression and redemption – come alive with Sisto's facile acoustic guitar work, incorporating threads of folk, country, R&B and blues. Escape Tailor is named after Sisto's alter ego (well, Beyonce has "Sasha Fierce"), who has performed in intimate venues in New York City.

Diamonds Under Fire began as the solo musical project & heart of Los Angeles based singer, songwriter & guitarist Vanessa Silberman. In 2012 with the addition & collaboration of Jessica Goodwin (drums) & Melinda Holm (bass/vocals) Diamonds Under Fire was re-born & completed. Diamonds Under Fire's 3 piece power house live show & music has often been compared to the raw bare bones rock 'n roll of Nirvana, The Ramones, Chrissie Hynde with the danciness of No Doubt & the vocal pop melody sensibilities of Pink. Diamonds Under Fire has played The El Rey, The Troubadour, The Satellite, The Echo, The Viper Room, & Bootleg Theatre. Diamonds Under Fire has been featured in Guitar Player Magazine with a cover call-out & has been featured on 4 Vans Off The Wall Compilations CDs.
