CANDY WHIPS, ALTCHBS

A friend sent over this new video from Candy Whips this morning and it immediately put a smile on my face.  Highlights of the video for "ALTCHBS" include "randy sock puppets and fornicating carved wooden nautical fishermen, green-screened amid footage of toreadors, creepy coin-operated toys, scenes of riots, mass destruction and teen idols, and homoerotic cowboys and soccer players."   I must say I was a bit disturbed at first, but after a few more watches, my initial smile just got bigger and bigger!!  I'm a huge fan of 80's synth and New Wave, so I was quickly swept into the madness with hints of all my favorites from back in the day including Devo, The Buggles, and Soft Cell.  While obscure to say the least, it has all the underpinnings of an instant synthpop classic and I'd highly recommend you give it a whirl or two.  You won't be disappointed!
