Yaeji - Drink I'm Sippin On

Things get experimental with Yaeji in "Drink I'm Sippin on". A lot of people are digging the Asian trap vibe of the track that show off Yaeji's soft and sultry voice. The beat is chill and unique with beautiful electronic house motifs that fully execute the song making it a moving piece of art. The masterful production is super clean and sure to be appreciated by the hip hop community. Adding the Korean lyrics makes this song particularly remarkable as we start to see the rise of cultural identity in young artists.

The video itself is filled with mesmerizing lights in part of a city that seems to be Asian influenced as we see color writings in an unknown language flash by. Yaeji and her squad roam around the streets in their Korean inspired fashion, giving a completely urban feel. The editing is on point with artistic layerings and fast forwards, each edit complimenting the smooth trap instrumental. Yaeji is a New York based artist/DJ with roots in Seoul, South Korea. She's receiving praise for being one of the most notable house vocalists of the current music age so be prepared to catch more of those Korean hip hop waves as they start to rise.
