"All in all, Kill The Motherboard stylistically stands in a class of their own. They’re not for everyone, but with meaningful lyrics and rhythmic production, they offer a breath of fresh air in a scene that’s been plagued with repetition, simplicity, and at times, a lack of creativity. The Legend of Picasso Jones will definitely be added to my playlist and am sure you’ll do the same once you take it for a spin!"
Coming from a traditional hip hop background, I didn’t know what to expect when I went to listen to The Legend of Picasso Jones. Admittedly, I had never heard of Kill The Motherboard. I was vaguely familiar with Jack Splash’s work with Kendrick Lamar and Cee-Lo Green, but still had no idea what I was in for in reviewing their debut album.
After a super-cool blues intro, I was immediately introduced to the world of Kill The Motherboard with Jack Splash’s sober but carefully laced production, "Saint Paul”. The vocalist, Jon Brown, lays down a teaser of an anthem which warns that The Legend of Picasso Jones was going to be a soulful journey into the elements of funk and hip hop. The song picks up steam towards the end but quickly loses its flame as it ends at just over 2 minutes. This left me a tad bit disappointed as it was a killer track and was really hoping for more.
Next up was a song that I found myself coming back to again and again, “The Water”. This jam starts in an aggressive fashion with a gritty and persistent electro bassline which immediately fills the void left from “Saint Paul.” Jon Brown jumps in with powerful and melodic vocals that really bring this song to life for the listener. Once I heard the incredibly catchy hook, I realized these guys might actually be onto something. Eric Biddines also makes his first appearance on the album and assists with his complex conscious flows that take an ever-evolving production from Jack Splash to a whole new level. It is no surprise that these two chose to drop this track as one of the debut singles to their full-length project.
Another high point on the album is “Mr. Nobody & His Nefarious Friends.” This song is a super-funky jam containing what seems to be Kill The Motherboard’s signature style – an upbeat rhythm, carefully placed multi-layered production, and a style bending uplifting form of hip hop. Reminiscent of Kid Cudi’s “Cudi Zone”, Kill The Motherboard continues to push the boundaries or rap with their unconventional style on this song and others throughout the album.
While Jack Splash tends to alley-oop Jon Brown throughout the majority of the album, he seems to outshine his partner on the closing track, “Castles.” Jon Brown holds his own but Jack Splash displays that there’s truly multiple levels to being a producer. Polished with psychedelic tunes and twinkles, the methodical production displayed on the track was top notch and one of my favorites on the album. "Castles" seemed to be the perfect track to bring The Legend of Picasso Jones to a close and showcased why the dynamic-duo of Jack Splash and Jon Brown are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the not-so-distant future. Indie alternative, singer-songwriter from Louisiana. Her music is perfumed with jazz and
down-in-your-gut soul. She parades her roots honestly like the street bands of New
Orleans, where she learned how to stay true to the music and herself.
Brittany’s powerhouse voice is the reason why she’s compared to Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Janis Joplin. She loves to make people feel deep, go places within that they’ve been afraid of, cause them to think and move beyond to something greater, to some other worldliness. Life is her inspiration, the highs, lows, in-betweens, and all the greats who have dared to be fully themselves in this industry. It is her purpose and passion to use music to bridge the gaps between the mundane and the heavenlies, like the greek goddess iris.

Meet WOLVES, a band that is breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries of modern music with their infectious blend of genres. Consisting of Marc Avery, Sean Carney, and Rockwell Sands, the Los Angeles based trio have created their own unique sound, marrying pop sensibilities with bold rock’n’roll and gritty urban beats. With each member hailing from various cultural backgrounds, WOLVES have crafted their own distinct style, shaping the sound of pop culture as we know it.
“We wondered what it would be like if we took all these different influences we loved—artists like Michael Jackson, the Eagles, Coldplay—and rolled them all into one band today,” Sands muses. Their eclectic influences proved to be inspirational, with their debut single ‘Animal’ giving the trio their signature explosive sound.
The band was named after the characteristics of wolves. These majestic animals which are bonded by an innate sense of the pack, move in harmony as one unit towards common goals. “I can’t think of a better way to describe us. The three of us are all about the good of the group; every day we try to embody that philosophy in our music and beyond.” remarks Avery.
WOLVES highly anticipated single 'Freaky' is an anthem to inspire others to be brave and embrace who you are, to share your inner-most desires with the world and to live life to the fullest. Featuring slick indie pop grooves, 90’s reminiscent hip hop and hard-hitting rhythms, ‘Freaky’ is a song that you can’t help but dance to. "We love listening to music from back in the day and try to re-imagine what it would sound like today.” reveals Carney.
From the primal energy of ‘Animal' to the seductive tones in ‘Freaky’, WOLVES have crafted a wildly diverse range of music built for pop radio and stadiums alike. Having already earned top spots on the Billboard charts and heavy rotation on Sirius XM Hits 1, the trio hopes to inspire audiences across the globe with their music, and to continue creating unforgettable songs that at once nod to the past and hurtle towards the future.

GEO started writing songs in her early teens. Together with her diaries, and home movies, life with all its joy and pain became the spur for a huge outpouring of creativity. By the age of 17 she had quite a collection of songs and scraps of songs, the best of which found their way onto her debut album, AURA.
At the age of 16, she performed live at Genghis Cohen’s, West Hollywood, and at Dartington Hall in Devon, England. The following Spring she toured in the UK with international dance musical, Where Is Home? and later in that year, performed for a season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In June 2018, she showcased at New York Sync Summit, and in November at BBC One Introducing, Tobacco Dock, London.
These experiences of performing, working alongside artists from the UK, South Africa, Italy, the USA, the Caribbean, Japan and Pakistan, have been great and have allowed her to reach out to a wide and very appreciative live audience.
In 2019 Geo performed in Germany, France, Belgium, Holland and the UK, as special guest of The Teskey Brothers on their Half Mile Harvest EU Tour.
"Loving her music, and what a voice!" Josh Teskey, The Teskey Brothers.

Before dropping a whole album on July 5th, Bronson Wisconsin released the 3rd single Number One
Number One has both chill vibes and rock elements. The lyrics is brutally honest and very relatable to listeners with similar experience when you are not someone’s priority.

Beware! The lyrics is so true it hurts…
When you first listen to The Little Miss's American Dream, you might not get the true meaning of this song. The strumming of an acoustic guitar, the sound of a whistle as well as a voice sounded like Karen Carpenter, The Little Miss immersed us in her happy and carefree tune. Alongside with the film-like music video that she took with her retro filter app on her phone, she brought us back to the 70s!
The music video is causal and simple, yet honest. The Little Miss shows us her own perspective of America with footages of her hitting the road, riding on a boat, walking on the beach, going to an aquarium or going to music festivals. But her intention does not only stay in the bright side, because none of these will happen if we stay in the shadow and let the rich and politicians to decide the future of America. It is subtle, but footages of her in a political assembly appear in the music video from time to time. it is not until the end that she reveals the importance of people to participate in politics in different ways. Stay informed and stay awake!
P.S. The Little Miss is joining our #419 Hunnypot party on 24th June at The Mint. You don't want to miss this!

FBGM is a genderless/genreless musical outfit. FBGM lets the music tell the stories and the listener can fill in the visuals as needed. Their song "High" is a great example of their brand. Is it about a person, is it about an object, is it about a higher power? It's up to you the listener to decide what it means to you. Take a listen to "High" with FBGM and Hunnypot and let us know how you feel.
The Hip-hop/ Rap artist Coca Vango has just dropped his new song 'Waterfall' in late May featuring Tyga, along with the music video. It will not be a surprise if Waterfall becomes one of the 2019 summer club hits!
While the song is very catchy with a repeating bass line and catch phrases, the music video is even more eye-catching featuring bright vivid colors, electrifying and dramatic words as well as dancing ladies who bring up the temperature of the room!

When Hunnypot Live was asked to cover the 2019 Cannabis Cup here in Southern California, it was an easy yes and quite frankly a match made in heaven. From our earliest shows in 2005, we’ve always been 420 friendly. Covering High Times events like this seems like a perfect extension of some amazing magic that Hunnypot has been a part of over the years here in the City of Angels. Similar to Hunnypot, the Cannabis Cup celebrates music, music culture, and of course marijuana. Their weekend event at the NOS in San Bernardino did just that and pulled it off typical High Times fashion. High Times pulled out all the stops over the weekend (including a celebration of the legendary Tommy Chong’s 81st birthday) for what many attendees considered a truly magical event.
First off, I think High Times did an incredible job improving upon some of the logistical challenges that they faced back in March at their High-Desert event. The check-in process was simple, streamlined, and user friendly from the moment the doors opened. Regardless of whether you were general admission, VIP, or Super-VIP, lines to get in the event moved very quickly. Once inside the NOS grounds, guests found a simple to navigate vendor area that seemed to have significantly more room vs. its Adelanto cousin. Whether you were purchasing some flower or taking one of many 'sample dabs', attendees appreciated the additional space as it made for a much more inviting experience. Food offerings were typical of any county fair, and you didn’t have to walk far to find delectable treats such as carne asada fries or a ridiculously large funnel cake and Mt. Dew to wash it all down. While offerings were fairly limited, most felt the choices available were just enough to satisfy anyone’s ‘post-high’ munchies.
Now on to the music. Events like this are amplified significantly with a killer lineup, and this year’s Cannabis Cup delivered in fine form. Eleven incredible acts graced the High Times stage over the two-day event and left even the most finicky concert connoisseur smiling when the weekend finally came to an end. Performances by Tory Lanez and Girl Talk were incredible, but my personal favorite over the two-day event was non-other than Southern California rap legend, Ice Cube. It was a packed house at the NOS as Cube put on a clinic performing close to twenty songs that spanned an illustrious 35-year career in hip-hop. Newer songs such as “Arrest the President” were mixed in with classics such as “It Was a Good Day” in a concert for the ages under the stars in San Bernardino. As this was my first-time seeing Ice Cube live, I was truly blown away with his crisp vocals, amazing stage presence, and the love he shared for his fans throughout his near two-hour mega set. This show was special, and one I won’t soon forget.
Bottom line, the folks over at High Times hit another home run with their latest Cannabis Cup installment here in Southern California. Fans from all walks of life partied down over the Memorial Day Weekend enjoying some tasty buds, killer food, and a musical lineup took things to a whole new level at the NOS. In addition, the fellowship and love that attendees shared for one another over the two-day event was unmistakable and a reason many attended in the first place. The only downside to the weekend was that (as with every good thing), the Cannabis Cup – So Cal 2019 had to come to an end. Sad as it was, many fans were already finalizing their plans to make their way up to the coast to Sonoma County for the Nor Cal edition on June 1st and 2nd. I won’t be able to make that one, but if it is anything like this year's So Cal event, it will surely be worth the trip!
I think Friday will go down as one of the best live shows I have ever seen . Tech N9ne did a stellar job stacking the line-up for the It Goes Up Tour and little did I know I was in for a killer show. Add in the bonus of being able to sample Tech N9ne’s new craft beer, Bou Lou (A collaboration with KC's Boulevard Brewing Company), and I knew it was about to be a very good night.
On Friday May 24th, Tech N9ne rocked the Gas Monkey in Dallas with special guests, UBI (of Ces Cru), Dax, ¡Mayday!, and Krizz Kaliko. Every act built on one another and audience gave it their all the whole time. I’ll preface this whole article with the fact that I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I’m used to shooting rock shows and this one threw me for a loop, but a positive one. Having been following Tech N9ne for the better part of the last 10 years due to my dad being his biggest fan, I have always enjoyed his music. And it was even more special because I got to take my dad to meet Tech that night which made for a great memory that I will never forget.
Up first was one of Kansas City’s finest, UBI from Ces Cru, and boy did he pop off quick. My first reaction as he hit the stage was whether or not I was watching UBI or Eminem. Never have I seen him before but, what a ton of energy he brought to the performance. I really enjoyed watching UBI bouncing all over the stage and his interaction with the crowd throughout the set. He definitely set the tone for what was about to come next.
Following UBI’s energetic performance was Los Angeles based rapper, Dax. What I appreciated about Dax was that you got to see glimpse's of his life unfold within each song. He mentioned between songs that he one time played college basketball, but then decided to chase his dream of being an artist. With 872,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Dax came, he saw, and he definitely conquered. Again, I loved the way each song was about his life because not only did I connect with him, but the crowd did as well. He took the stage with fire and flames and ended his set in similar fashion. It was a great performance.
Up next was another fan favorite, ¡Mayday!, who is led by Bernz and Wrekonize along with their percussionist NonMS. Take Bob Marley, modernize it, speed it up just a little, add some live drums, and that is the trio in a nutshell. Their tunes had such a unique sound, and I was really impressed with the way it all blended together. It’s always sweet hearing new artists and gaining a new few songs to add to my playlist. If I remember correctly, they played one of their hits called “New Blessings” off their latest album, South of 5th, and it was probably one of my favorites from their set.
Finally, the highly anticipated icon of rap music, Tech N9ne, was about to take the stage. He opened his set with what looked like a short documentary starring Krizz Kaliko, which was pretty sweet. The film cut and red lights overran the stage with Tech finally making his way out to a now insane crowd. You could feel the packed house surge forward and I quickly turned around to make sure the barrier didn’t break. I don’t think I was ready for that, but braced myself as the show jumped to warp speed in literal seconds. Tech popped the show off with “N9na” off his latest album of the same name, and immediately got the crowd engaged. A few songs later, Krizz Kaliko joins Tech on stage to perform a few songs, “Anxiety” being one of them. The two continued to bring fire to the stage and you could tell they absolutely loved performing with one another. There’s no doubting why Tech N9ne has continued to be a pioneer in the rap industry, and am sure the 2.7 million monthly Spotify listeners would definitely understand. He went on to perform other great hits such as “Caribou Lou”, “Einstein”, and probably one of his most famous,“Hood Go Crazy”. I was literally blown away by him and Krizz, and will not miss another Tech N9ne show moving forward. The Dallas show was definitely a '10 out of 10' performance.
Overall this was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time, and would highly recommend to anyone who loves an amazing live performance . Tech N9ne gave it his all the whole time and I am fortunate to have been able to witness it. My dad had a great time seeing his favorite rapper kill it on stage, and now has lifelong memories he soon won't forget. Pops was all smiles at the end and that alone should tell you we had a great time. Tech is (and will remain) one of the best in the business, bar none. You don’t want to miss the It Goes Up Tour when it comes to a city near you. As always, rock on my friends!
We kicked off summer (Memorial Day) with a hot spring in our dance steps. Eddie Caldwell got wet for the first time in the Hunnypot tub to tell us about how the heck he got here. Bogan Via boogied down via slow synth dance tunes. Raven Artson was high art musical melodies, son. Highschool Jacob made us want to ditch class and fall in love. Ward kept away the evil non-rock spirits and the night finished with a Soul-Stice Dance Party. 5/27/19

Raven Artson lives for music. The Dutch singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer landed in his first band when he was only nine years old. While growing up, Raven was entering a defining period of musical exploration, showing himself the ropes of how to do it. Most prominently Raven has been drumming and producing for Mozes and the Firstborn, but also provided production for the likes of Ray Fuego, Yung Nnelg and Pip Blom and has his fair share in composing movie-soundtracks, among which Madja Amin’s Stray Sheep. He coordinates his own creative direction, while being in interdisciplinary dialogue with directors, photographers and designers. Raven’s deep musical immersion and hefty back catalogue shine through in the versatility of his solo work and his on-stage performance. Self-taught, driven but humble, Raven is readying his debut project ‘Peak In Me’.
As a true master of melody, Raven’s music is sweet and easy. His bold voice is always at the center of the music - crooning free above glistening instrumentation. Aside from his strong pop-sensibility, Raven has plenty of musical experiments up his sleeves. He whips up a perfect mixture of variations, lacing his songs and performance with clever left-turns and sudden musical shifts. Lush woodwind sections, tight drums and heartfelt vocal lines all blend seamlessly into a rich and psychedelic musical palette. Raven’s music and personality find middle ground in being grand and ambitious, while still being tangible and down to earth. Inhabiting the stage on his lonesome in a double-breasted suit, Raven is voicing his heart without any filter. Tear-dripping auto-tune with a supremely romantic quality.

In early 2016, Ward knew he wasn’t living the life he longed for. So, he quit his job as an Internet technology executive in Manhattan, left New York, and moved to LA to embrace a musical career. Since then, Ward’s music has rapidly taken Los Angeles by storm, writing dozens of new songs, packing live shows, cutting a new EP and growing a fan base of tens of thousands online. Ward’s lyrics consider life’s demands, choices and regrets. His broad vocal range rests atop of a blend 80’s modern rock, grunge, Manchester, and psychedelic rock. Born and raised in California, and known simply as “Ward” to his friends, he was inspired as a young boy to write songs after hearing Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever on the radio. He immediately went out and bought an old Stratocaster. By the time he was 12 years old, he was churning out original songs and booking live local shows — beginning a lifelong journey with music that has led up to where he is today.
Ward is just getting started. He would love to partner with fantastic composers, songwriters and live musicians for upcoming recordings, videos and live performances in 2018. As well, he is actively writing and producing music for licensing opportunities.
