This weeks Hunnypot Live "radio" show was a complete blow out!

DJ Hot Tub Johnnie got it going with some ideal new tastemaker picks including…I’m From Barcelona "Just Because It’s Different Doesn’t Mean It’s Scary", College "A Real Hero (feat. Electric Youth)", Kosha Dillz "Span – Hebrish (Ech Ani Olech)".  Hot Tub continued sharing his love for G-Eazy this time with "Endless Summer (feat. Erika Flowers)" so if you don't know G-Eazy yet - you best know, by now!
 
Hunnypot favs The Dollyrots were the first guests to step into the hot tub. They came through and spoke about their forthcoming album GO! and also played a few tracks including a brand new cut "Hyperactive" which will be released on their new album GO!
 
Next on the ones & two's was none other than music supervisor Marcy Bulkeley (Herzog & Co.). This time Marcy came through with the stars of the night Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, but first some key cuts that we heard during her set - "Limbo" by Kimbra, "The World Is Yours" by I Heart Sharks and the killer ATOC vs Superbud remix of "Filthy Georgeous" by Scissors Sisters.  For more on Marcy's hot musical picks go to her blog 365 Days Of Music!
 
Our headlining guests of the night were rising alternative hip hop stars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Coming by way of Seattle in the midst of one of their biggest tours, they performed one of the most memorable Hunnypot Radio performances ever at the Libertine!  The highlight of the night was "And We Danced" in which Macklemore came out in full robe and wig and had the crowd going crazy!  If you haven't experienced Macklemore live then be sure to check them out Nov. 23rd at the Troubadour! Also check out their scortchin' single "Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)".

HPR #221 was a slammin' party, as always Hot Tub Johnnie provided a killer set of hip new tunes.  Some notable selections were - Ike Nice's "I Get It In" (this weeks video pick of the week), Flo Rida's "Good Feeling", Italian dance artist Hardton's "Earthquake" and many more.

Our first guest DJ was renowned industry professional Tamara Conniff (The Comet.com).  Tamara kicked her set off with an ode to her time spent in NYC clubs playing the signature track "New York Groove" by Ace Frehley.  Always having an ear to whats hot, Tamara featured some breaking new music from Butch Walker "Summer Of '89" and DWNTWN's hip banger "Transition". 
 
Our musical guests of the night were none other than LA blues rockers The Downtown Train.  The train was steaming as the boys rolled through a fast driving set of boogie down blues rock which had the HP crowd grooving' out!  We kicked the set off with the bluesy rock jam "Tumblin'" and then stormed into their live set, playing 3 jams including the new single "Can't You See".  This Train is always rolling around town, so keep your eyes locked for all their latest show events!

DJ Boom Shack threw down some killer uptempo party jams to close out the night - including new bangers from NERVO (feat. Afrojack & Steve Aoki) "We're All No One (Hook N Sling Remix), Tove Styrke's "Call My Name", The Go Team! "Apollo Throwdown (Star Slinger Remix)" and many more!

We welcome our first guests, LA blues rock outfit The Downtown Train.  A band who is no stranger to playing gigs, they have stated they will play anywhere in the world at anytime and they will be playing their first ever Hunnypot radio show on the 19th.  A true blues experience with a sound that takes you back to 1950′s Chicago, but uniquely twisted in a hip modern LA style.

Hunnypot Radio was once again jam packed party at the Libertine, as we celebrated Labor Day in style!!

Hot Tub Johnnie kicked the party off with "Can't You See" a new LA blues rock cut from next week's HPR guest The Downtown Train.  He kept the hot tub bubbling with tracks from The Stone Foxes, Frank Ocean, Bob Marley, G-Eazy and many more.

Our first guest Phil Gallo (Billboard) made his second appearance on the show and handpicked a working mans set for the Labor Day celebration.  Some standouts from the Phil's set were Ry Cooder's "No Banker Left Behind", Harry Nilsson "Good Old Desk" and The Del Lords' "How Can A Poor Man Stand Such times and Live".

Our musical guests of the night were hip hop artists Kosha Dillz and E-Train.  Both artists stormed through high energy, aggressive performances…including Kosha Dillz' "Span-Hebrish (Ech Ani Olech)" and E-Trains vicious vocal attack on "Wreck The Disco Tech".  Keep your eyes and ears peeled open to catch when and where these two upcoming artists will be playing.

Closing out the night was DJ Boom Shack who featured a full set of hand selected music and signature cuts from Fembot "I Should Just", Killa Kyleon (feat. Mac Miller) "Come On Baby" and Sak Noels'  fantastic new party single "Loca People".

Rami Matan Even-Esh (??????: ??? ??? ???-??), better known by his stage name Kosha Dillz, is an American rapper and world class improv artist that has recieved major attention for his dedication to success. He has played every kind of gig, ranging from shows with Rza of the Wu Tang Clan and Matisyahu, to the Legendary Yo Gabba Gabba childrens show. He is most known for his ability to improv in front of thousands of people an rap in hebrew and spanish combined.

E-TRAIN

Raised in Chicago, Erich “E-TRAIN” Malo has always been known for his obsession with breakdancing, beat-boxing, and party rapping.  Growing up with a twin sister classically trained as a dancer and choreographer,  E-TRAIN was constantly surrounded  by music and dance.  Despite his artistic bent, E-TRAIN majored in business but when his mother Roxane Malo tragically passed away during his freshman year, young Erich’s passion for music and art blossomed and he transformed into the artist the world knows today as E-TRAIN.

It was a jam packed, fun filled 219th Hunnypot Radio show last week at the Libertine!  If you missed it, here's how it went down.

Hot Tub Johnnie kicked it open with a new cut from Daydrifter "The Weight of Words" which is the new side project from Sara DeBlanke (Robotanists), "Stupid Hight" the exclusive new joint from Hunnypot's Mic Terror and many more fresh picks to jam out to.

Music supervisor, Marcy Bulkeley (Herzog & Company) provided a high energized set for her Hunnypot debut.  Known for her tastemaker insight Marcy featured music from Little Dragon "Nightlight", The Knife "Pass This On" and her favorite Macklemore & Ryan Lewis "And We Danced".  If you want more handpicked music from Marcy be sure to subscribe to her blog 365 Days of Music and tune into her podcast 365music podcast.

Musical guests Terraplane Sun performed a rockin' set of their alternative blues styled sound, playing 3 tracks off their album Coyote including a nice rendition of Wanda Jackson's "Funnel Of Love" and "Slow Train".  The band is currently working on a new record and premiered two new cuts, including the highly addictive single "Get Me Golden", which will be sure to brighten your mood.  All we can say is keep your ears peeled for these guys as they will definitely be making some noise as we move forward into 2012!

Last weeks Hunnypot Radio show featured some killer new music from two well respected industry professionals and stunning performance by an upcoming singer-songwriter!  

First, Hot Tub Johnnie kicked the night off with some hot new tracks from Big K.R.I.T, The Drums, Mother Mother and of course Hunnypot favorite Lil' B!

Our first industry guest DJ was talented music supervisor Rudy Chung (Hit The Ground Runnning).  Rudy laid out some fine musical selections, including music from Tom Vek, WY LYF, Bassnectar and a sweet Ratatat remix of Jay-Z & Notorious B.I.G - all highly infectious jams!  Be sure to check out more of Rudy's musical taste on the highly popular TV shows CSI, CSI: New York and Nikita - all airing this Fall!

Next to dip their feet in the Hot Tub, was the beautiful and talented Jenni Alpert.  This pop, singer-songwriter from LA is quickly getting her name in everybody's heads, with her soothing musical melodies, and she lived up to it all, performing powerful arrangements of her songs "Sweet Talk" and "Love Is Enough".  Be sure to check out her single "Heaven" and to see her live!!

We saved the best for last as, former Hunnypot legend - DJ Stacee Coleman (Songs For Film & TV) returned for her encore and yes we needed more!!  Back for her first time since April 2010, Coleman completely lit it up, storming through a highly energized set of over 40 tunes, that completely turned the party loose!   This was a classic Coleman set and it may not be too long till' she's back for another encore - stay tuned!!

It was a slammed pack Hunnypot Radio show last week at the Libertine! If you missed it, and couldn’t catch the live stream – no worries cause it's streaming live!

Hot Tub Johnnie kicked it off with a great Ricky Berger track leading into Hunnypot’s own Robotanists and many more new and soon to be hyped tracks!

Our first guest was none than longtime and current member of The J.B.s'Jerry Poindexter. Rolling in with classic style and some memorable James Brown stories, Jerry previewed some exclusive soon to be released J.B.’s record! Check out the forthcoming funky new party songs – “We Came To Play”, “Welcome To The Party” and “Soul Power”!

Music supervisor, Anna Granucci (Scene Tracks Music) premiered a stellar set of new music for her first time on the Hunnypot airwaves! Everyone was blown away by her opening track “Disco Biscuit Love (Dept. Remix)” by the Jezebels, a killer Justice remix of Sia’s “Clap Your Hands” and even a remix of The Doors’ classic “Strange Days” had the Hunnypot crowd in a frenzy! Anna spoke on couple of her latest projects including the film Guns, Girls, and Gambling starring Gary Oldman and Christian Slater, which will be featuring some fine selected music by Anna.

Our final guests of the night were The Orion Experience out of NYC. These guys came on and completely rocked the night, with their high energy performance – of their songs “Vampire” and “Obsessed With You”. Go and check out their song/video “NYC Girl” a perfect upbeat rock/pop smash to party to and the title track off their latest EP!! The Orion Experience, is definitely an experience not too miss and they have a handful of West Coast/LA tour dates lined up this month – including tonight at LOT 1 CAFE in Echo Park!!

DJ Boom Shack closed out the night with highly energized set of new tastemaker cuts from some of the top upcoming artists – including the killer Cris Cab cover of “Black & Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa, XV’s latest “All For Me (feat. CyHi Da Prynce, Vado & Erin Christine) and the latest from Bassnectar “The Matrix”. Boom Shack, kicked the set off with “Tears Dry On Their Own” as a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse.
